Torn and tired, the writer bickers

An inner dialogue climbing for brilliance

He walks the line of conscious morality, as passerby snickers

Neutrons, protons, and electrons are scanned, yet utter stillness

A wall forms, made from an unknown psuedo-substance

He claws, bites, and scratches at what can not be broken

Scatterbrained and imprisoned by relevance

No iron or steel gathered, it’s wit he is toting

Scaling the walls, locks back and knee

Clouds dissipate as altitude increases

Figures appear as he captures infinity

Chalky remnants float, and reality ceases

Weightless he moves to mystified territories

Grasping celestial bodies as way points

Formulating linguistics with natives of the ceremonies

Crowns of black matter form above our heads, they speak and I annoit

They bared gifts for the rightful listener

We gather and enter the sacred mind

We guided the land, but I can not recall how far the reaches were

Weakening bones and famished organs, we lost track of time

We gawk at our own impudence, but are stalked by the internal wall

I gaze out, hoping to find my path again

Then shimmering light heightens my desires, and knowledge grows tall

I pull out a pen, because if its not the most perfect time, then when?

A Glimpse of the Sun

One gaze in her eyes is a nightmare
Daggered by her coyness
A cadence of intoxication brought on by soft silken hair
A summary of decades, her cunning escorts joyness

A leaf that falls mimics her delicate embrace
whispering its sweet harmonies, and the wind follows
A songbird sings its tune as if to embody her trace
She guides the sunset, she is my transition to morrow

Woken with a panic that she is gone
Scanning the room proves my suspicions correct
I search for her, the gentle pond
and though she had deserted me, her beauty I detect

In every ray, with every breath
We study the fruits of her labor flirting with rationality
An overwhelming link that withers with day’s death
Make haste to catch a glimpse of her rainbow-ed nationality

For if you cast a line, and catch hold of her
That moment of breathless delight will set your wings soaring
To understand this relation, look here and there; a blur
The fire in her chest molds into the lion’s roaring

Water-like hair that bends and twists,
imitating the vast underground system of roots
A climate of kiss, softer than the cloud’s mists
As I watch and listen, she keeps me astute

Her love beats down on me, setting me ablaze
But I am not deprived of shade
For in this moment I realize my soul is saved
Because the love I crave requires no pay

I live on this land, and take no pride in paths paved in stone
Recalling her splendor places her face next to mine
A figure I’ve seen since I was barely grown
She runs through us all, master of the vine
